Make sure you have a MetaMask wallet to start with. Do not use any other non-custodial wallets. If you do not have a MetaMask wallet, please proceed to our discord channel - 'How to mint' for more information.

You will need to prepare enough ETH in your MetaMask wallet to pay for the mint cost and gas fees. You can either transfer ETH from your crypto exchange account to your MetaMask wallet or purchase ETH directly from your MetaMask wallet.

Connect your MetaMask to this website (make sure you are on the 8siannft.com site) with the MetaMask chrome extension on the day of launch. You can start your minting by clicking on the 'Mint Now' button. For more questions about minting, please proceed to our discord and our helpful staff will be happy to help you out.

NFT stands for “Non-fungible token” – it is a unique token that exists on a blockchain and cannot be replicated.

NFTs can be used to represent real-world items like artwork and real-estate. "Tokenizing" these real-world tangible assets allows them to be bought, sold and traded more efficiently while reducing the probability of fraud.

NFTs can also be used to represent people’s identities, property rights, membership access (passes), real estate in the metaverse, gaming assets, voting assets within DAOs and much more.

Some NFT’s main function is to be digital art and its value lies entirely in aesthetics.

NFTs can exist on crosschains – ethereum, binance, solana, flow, cardano, tezos are all doing nfts – however we will be working with ethereum as it is the current market leader.

MetaMask is a WEB3 cryptocurrency wallet that can store your compatible tokens and is needed to purchase and mint your NFTs. Having a wallet gives you an Ethereum address (i.e. 0xABCD….1234), this is where your tokens and NFTs will be stored. Learn more about MetaMask and how easy it is to use over here! Every transaction on Ethereum costs Gas and the amount of Ether is paid to the miner for processing the transaction. These costs are dependent on the Ethereum network usage or congestion at the time you process the minting of your 8SIAN NFT. At the time of purchase we advise that you have more Ethereum in your wallet on top of the 0.088 required for the 8asian NFT to account for these fees.

Inspired by the rich Asian culture over thousands of years, 8SIAN aim to create a signature NFT collection in the growing NFT space that represents and connects the Asian community.

Our founder Nicole, envisions 8SIAN being a global, inclusive community for all, not only asians or females, but for those who share their admiration for Asian cultures. We want to represent, educate & build a lasting presence in the NFT space.

The 8SIAN team are committed to fully integrating 8SIAN into Web 3: Bridging the asian culture into the metaverse- which we believe is the inevitable future.

In Chinese 八 Bā = 8 symbolises wealth, success and prosperity. This lucky number has held a significant place historically in many cultures as it represents a powerful desire to succeed and an irrepressible force driven to achieve greater accomplishments.

More importantly however, the number 8 is a symbol of balance – an inherent understanding that to achieve the highest callings in life one must strive for equality. And it is this relentless focus to address imbalances in representation within the existing NFT space that stands at the core of the 8SIAN NFT movement.

8SIAN is about creating an innovative, new NFT movement – one that is fluid, ready to evolve and has no set boundaries. Having a programmed roadmap can actually limit the endless possibilities that we believe the NFT space and a NFT collection can achieve.

We are focusing on building a close-knit community for all those who like our artwork and our concept, bringing together a larger community of Asians and minorities from all around the world to support and give voice to unheard artists. Our vision is simple yet far-reaching: to educate and guide new members to join our exciting journey in the NFT space.

We want to spread the message of NFT's potential in many facets of human life such as in business, IP laws, the music industry and NFT's potential to play a huge role in our daily lives, and by extension, help build an Asian and minority voice in the sphere of NFTs.

We have the lead artist MrHike and 3 support artists, YinNing, Sling, and Mintminded.

MrHike
- The whole 8SIAN NFT collection was hand drawn by our talented graphic artist MrHike with his expertise and excellent sense of aesthetics. He has been working in the graphic arts industry as a 3D-modelling artist for more than 7 years. He has created digital assets for such renowned titles as Spider-Man on PlayStation 5.

Yin
- Spent several years working as a mobile game/app artist and illustrator before moving to 3D games under an outsourcing studio. She has been making a conscious effort to continue pursuing her life-long passion for drawing after realizing she only draws about once a year since the move.

Sling
- Currently working in the mobile games industry and focuses heavily on female drawings in the anime style/genre. Likes to play with design and composition.

Mintminded
- 15 years in the art industry working as artist/ illustrator, across advertising, film, publication, and game industry. Producing illustrations, storyboards, concept art, comics as well as mural painting for various businesses. Started up his own sole proprietorship venture since 2010. As a work from home dad, other than his kids and his works, Manga and NFT arts are the main things that he dabbles with.
